A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also had them long enough that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll see broken down further.
So I’m answering a bunch of frequently asked questions, as well as how to grab them for less, below! Where could someone find Golden Goose sneakers?
I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a great deal going on.
Placed my order on April 28th and they were at my door by the 30th, so the shipping was really quick .
How expensive are they?
When I ordered my pair in spring, I paid around $385, but their regular price is around $514.
You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and $1,700 depending on their design features.
How is the fit?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36.
Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.
Are they comfortable?
Honestly, they feel great, and only took a few hours to break in..
How do they perform over time?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
Do they feel better than other shoes?
These are the best sneakers I own. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They include a built-in arch bump that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is unique. And the shine on mine? Next-level.
Would you recommend them?
Totally! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re not cheap, so getting them with a promo is a better idea. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you find a style that suits you. Mine have pink glitter, but a neutral version would also be smart.
Best places to buy them cheaper?
Here are the spots I found most reliable. I had a 10/10 experience with GGoose.org, so I suggest them first.
- GGoose.org – where I picked up mine!
 - Gilt – membership is free!
 - Vestiaire Collection – it also looks like they’re offering $50 off your APP first order of $150+ with code WELCOMEUS50
 - The Real Real – an excellent source for new or barely worn Golden Goose sneakers at low prices
 - Ebay – even more fantastic bargains on gently used pairs of Golden Goose sneakers
 - @likeabandit – she features plenty of GG deals on her IG stories, so keep an eye out

Where were you able to get your pair?
I found mine on discount via Cettire and snagged them that way!
I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were delivered by April 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast .
How much do they cost?
I picked them up for $385.43, though they usually retail for around $513.91.
You can expect to pay between $410 and $1,700 depending on their design features.
How is the fit?
I found them to fit true to size, at least for me. Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d recommend sizing up.
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good almost immediately. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since my feet get sweaty. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in fake leather. Also, they’re already broken-in so your feet just get comfortable fast.
How do they perform over time?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the structure feels strong.
Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
